  14. Does anyone know of any hardware/software (PC preferred) that can dial
  15. into a bank of modems and test for the presence of--
  16.    a. modem answering on other end
  17.    b. login prompt presented to caller
  18. Then generate an alarm/e-mail if test fails.

  20. We have a bank of dialup modems and I would like to set up a proactive
  21. tester that can call up the modems and report if there were any 
  22. problems, before we hear from the users...
